The Journal of Tropical Plant Pests and Diseases is a fully Open Access journal. To help cover the costs of printed publication and support capacity-building initiatives, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 3,000,000 is applied to all manuscripts that are accepted for publication. Authors are not required to pay any fees during the submission or peer review process. The APC is only invoiced after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted by the editorial team.

Authors whose research is funded by a grant—clearly acknowledged in the manuscript—are expected to cover the APC. However, graduate students and authors experiencing financial hardship may apply for waiver. Waiver or discount requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Late requests may not be considered.
